Foodlife Doorstep Deliveries is an Organic fruit & vegetable box scheme, a family business run by Anna & Adam Goodwin. We first started delivering organic fruit and vegetables way back in 1995, when the organic revival was in its infancy. With help from the Prince’s Youth Business Trust, in the form of a grant and a loan, we were able to buy our first computer and van and Foodlife was born. We spent much of the early years pounding the local streets; by leafleting and knocking on doors, we were able to gradually build up our customer base, and get to know our customers personally too. Our first organic boxes were delivered in Bramhall, Cheshire and to this day we still have regular customers who were with us in the first weeks over 20 years ago.
About us
Foodlife now delivers to regular and ad hoc customers every week in and around the Manchester area. We are still predominately a fruit & vegetable box scheme, but we also sell organic eggs, dairy, dry goods and cleaning products. We also sell a handful of non- organic artisan products from local producers. We have a monthly organic meat and fish delivery and sell a selection of gift hampers at Christmas along with other ethical gifts.
Our aim has always been to deliver the best organic boxes the seasons have to offer, ideally from as locally as we can, at the best price we can. Not everyone has the time or space to grow their own fruit & vegetables, so we can bring a box of the best to your door every week. We use a minimum amount of packaging and pick up our reusable crates and boxes, each time we drop off the next delivery.
We have been Soil Association members for many, many years. Our annual inspections are our guarantee to you that all our fruit and vegetable boxes are Organic.
We are not a franchise, or a large national business; just small and experienced enough to give a personal service to all of our customers.
In 2013 Foodlife took over running Dig Food Ltd and merged the two businesses together.
